So I have a client... a walk-in this afternoon.
He has some intimacy issues and the PTSD specialist I consulted with this afternoon said that one of my goals for therapy should be to help this guy learn to trust relationships again.
Um. OK.
Sure.
Trust those relationships.
Yup.
I'm your girl for that one!
The relationship guru. That's me.

I leaned over the table and whispered, "Do I have to believe that to help him?"

Not, says the specialist, if I'm a good actor. But these guys can smell a lie like a fart in a car.

We'll see how this goes.
